Pictures of the recent desert trips by Matt Bell|
On all of the recent trips I've taken out to the desert, Matt Bell has
gone along with his cool digital camera. On all but one, Chris, Matt's
brother has gone along as well, in various stages of disrepair. (He sprained
his ancle just before the Jan 27th trip.)
Below are all the pictures he's taken of the trips so far. If you click on the
thumbnail, you'll get a 800x600 image. If you go to the full directory link
below, you can get the HUGE images.
From here on out, I hope to be able to integrate pictures he and I have taken
of the various trips, now that he can upload his images to my machines.
Here is all the pictures

anu (2004-02-24): awsome ....but need to be more specific...
Lizzi (2004-03-28): Great pics, but you need some with dunes and its a very bright sky. In a lot of the pics it seems to be cloudy or almost nighttime.
Erik (2004-03-28): Those dune pictures were taken while it was snowing! Next time I can talk someone into hiking up the dunes with me, I'll take some normal bright-sky pictures.
tj (2004-03-28): they are good pics just more dunes
yoda (2004-04-01): ummmmmmmm i found this by accident and have high speed net...slowww slowwwww slowwww here
lucky chick 13 (2004-05-14): it would be hard core if the pics that u took where u were at the desert dunes, like if u had ppl on dirt bikes u would get alot more visitors i bet but they r good pix
bt (2004-09-25): We lived in the Mojave for over 8 years. I love looking at these pics - makes me homesick! Just wish there weren't so many earthquakes.
Erik (2004-09-25): It is beautiful. I've got to try to get back there when it's snowing again. I've never seen anything so sureal!
Wolf (2004-10-04): I think a lot of people miss the point of your page. Dirtbikes? What about nature... without dirtbikes.
wegrdghgfh (2004-10-26): cool
BK (2005-03-02): it helped me on a project at school, so i like it
mizedog (2005-03-04): Beautiful pics. Nice to see desert snow. Same thing can happen up on the Mojave Road near Black Canyon road. No need for dirt bikes or Jeeps in these shots (and I'm the president of a 4x4 club!). We use our trucks to get to and enjoy beautiful places like these. Thanks.
mizedog (2005-03-04): Adding something to like people helps determine scale. By the way, try Truckhaven Hills (near Salton Sea) for moonscapes... I've backpacked this area too - great, tight canyons that really snake around and show earthquake and erosion damage similar to the canyon above.
Tina, UK (2005-03-30): I just found your pics, they're great !
Milen (2005-09-01): Your blog is very interesint
lisa (2008-05-02): the pics are really helpful for me : your girl lisa
anonymous (2009-01-21): good
sam-o (2009-02-04): these helped me a lot -thanks!!!
sam-o (2009-02-04): i also hate the new anti-spam thing. it is annoying. one of them is just a black dot.
kindigulous (2009-08-20): mmm...desert road trips! i'm packed!
